To get Shiny in Big Walk, complete the Yellow Tower to open the underground tunnels, enter the tunnel near the Blue Tower, and follow the colored corridors to the hidden metallic paint salon. Have a teammate apply one of the three metallic paints—bronze, silver, or gold—to at least one part of your character to unlock Big Makeover.

What You Need Before Getting Shiny

Finish the Yellow Tower progression and use its completed key to open the underground tunnel system. The hidden salon cannot be reached through the normal opening-area paint station.

Bring at least one teammate, because your character cannot use the paintbrush on itself. Take the torch found inside the Blue Tower tunnel entrance or carry another active light source; the underground route is difficult to read in darkness.

Where to Start the Shiny Route

Begin at the tunnel entrance near the Blue Tower. Starting from a known entrance matters because left and right directions become unreliable if a group enters the network from a different region.

Inside the blue tunnel, collect the torch and continue to the multi-route junction. Use the painted corridor colors and floor markers as the primary landmarks rather than trying to navigate by compass direction alone.

How to Reach the Hidden Metallic Salon

  1. Enter the Blue Tower tunnel after the Yellow Tower has opened the network, then take the torch near the entrance.
  2. At the main junction, follow the floor marker that points toward the Green Tower.
  3. When a floor marker points away from the Blue Tower, take the corridor on the right and drop to the lower level.
  4. Find the Green Tower marker downstairs and enter the tunnel immediately to its right.
  5. Continue into the green section, then take the red tunnel on the left.
  6. Cross the green bridge and enter the red structure surrounded by a purple area.
  7. Drop down on the right, enter the purple route, and follow it to the hidden palette and paintbrush.

How to Unlock Big Makeover

The hidden palette offers three metallic colors: bronze, silver, and gold. Have another player pick up the brush, select one of those colors, and paint at least one part of your character.

Community documentation reports that the achievement or trophy triggers when the metallic paint is applied to the character—not merely when the room or brush is discovered. Each player pursuing Big Makeover should be painted individually.

If Big Makeover Does Not Unlock

  • Confirm that the color came from the hidden metallic palette, not the standard paint area.
  • Use bronze, silver, or gold rather than a normal color.
  • Have a teammate apply the paint directly to the player who needs the achievement.
  • Make sure at least one visible character part changes to the metallic color.
  • Check that the game is on the current compatible patch before repeating the tunnel route.

Is Shiny Required for the Ending?

The cited route treats Shiny as an optional customization and achievement detour rather than a requirement for the full ending. Complete it when the tunnels open if your group wants to avoid a later return trip.

Use the Big Walk Trophy Guide for the rest of the achievement route and the All Puzzles Guide for story progression.
